What we did
Visual Identity, Brand Strategy, Brand Voice
The Miami Children’s Museum needed a refreshed visual identity that could better reflect its mission of creativity, education, and hands-on play while remaining flexible across digital, environmental, and experiential applications. The challenge was to create a system that felt bold and contemporary without losing approachability—one that could resonate equally with children, parents, and educators in a highly competitive cultural landscape.
This concept reimagines the museum’s identity through a modular, geometric logo system rooted in an isometric grid. The mark is constructed from simple triangular and rectangular forms that combine to create a playful yet structured “M,” symbolizing building blocks, learning through making, and the act of discovery itself. The isometric construction introduces depth and dimensionality, reinforcing the idea of exploration while ensuring balance, scalability, and consistency across uses.
Color plays a central role in the system. A vibrant yellow and pink palette was selected to evoke energy, optimism, and excitement—qualities central to a children’s museum experience—while remaining highly visible in both physical and digital environments. Typography complements the geometry of the logo with clean, rounded forms that feel friendly and accessible, supporting legibility and warmth without sacrificing clarity.
Beyond the logo, the identity was designed as a flexible brand system. The modular nature of the mark allows it to adapt seamlessly into signage, wayfinding, digital screens, promotional materials, and large-scale architectural applications. By prioritizing simplicity, adaptability, and playfulness, this concept positions the Miami Children’s Museum as a modern cultural destination—one that celebrates creativity, encourages curiosity, and invites children to learn through interaction and imagination.
