In reimagining Essentia’s rewards app, the core challenge was transforming a utility-driven, low-engagement experience into something users actually wanted to return to. The existing app made earning and redeeming points feel fragmented, slow, and transactional—undermining the loyalty it was meant to reward.

This new concept focuses on momentum and clarity: points are front and center, progress feels visible, and rewards feel attainable. Faster, smarter receipt scanning removes friction at the moment of purchase, while fluid transitions and motion design reinforce a sense of progress and achievement as users move through the app. By pairing intuitive navigation with a more dynamic, aspirational rewards marketplace, the experience reframes loyalty as something earned, tracked, and celebrated—motivating existing users to engage more often, scan more purchases, and fully redeem the value they’ve already earned by choosing Essentia.
